What do you think of the controversy over Obama's birth certificate?

	What controversy? The campaign has posted a copy online -- if that doesn't satisfy the critics, nothing will
	Nothing -- I'm still waiting for Republicans to provide proof for their years of nutty claims against the Clintons
	Republicans know they're going to lose and they're desperately grasping for anything they think will undermine the next administration
	It's the last-ditch tactic of very poor losers
	It's driven by racism -- tell me another presidential candidate who has been required to produce his birth certificate
	Even politicians are entitled to their privacy and have a right to be treated the same as any other citizen under the law
	What's the big deal? We're arguing over a 230-year-old technical requirement that was important in a bygone era
	The Democrats -- particularly those in the Clinton camp -- never would have let Obama make it through their primaries if there was any doubt about his eligibility
	Obama, more importantly, is a citizen of the world
	It's a red herring created by the Obama campaign to sidetrack Republicans and send them on a goose chase
	It's a waste of time. Unless Republicans have proof Obama is ineligible, this issue is not going to persuade undecided voters to support McCain in the last few days of the campaign
	We need a single authority that establishes eligibility for all candidates for national office
	I knew Democrats didn't care if illegals voted, but I was surprised to see they don't care someone might illegally run
	It's an indictment of our modern culture that state election officials routinely do not seek proof of citizenship
	We know Obama believes the Constitution is flawed in other areas -- why should we expect him to respect its requirements for eligibility?
	If he passes constitutional muster, there's no reason not to show his birth certificate
	If he really cares about the country, I don't understand why he doesn't just release his birth certificate and settle people's concerns
	I wouldn't vote for Obama if he was born on the Fourth of July in Independence Hall

familiar with the circumstances surrounding Obama's birth and the evidence of where he was born. However, a line of reasoning I have not yet read on this forum is the likelihood that if Obama was not born in Hawaii, when did he become an American citizen? And, if he became a citizen in Indonesian, and that required him to give up his American citizenship, then not only may he be disqualified from the Presidency for not being native-born, but he may also be disqualified for the fact that he gave up his American citizenship subsequent to his birth, and therefore, is not an American citizen at all! I have heard or seen nothing indicating he reclaimed his American citizenship after leaving Indonesia.

And like the 20+ million illegal aliens in this country right now, He Should Be Immediately Deported!

I hope that Mr. Berg follows through on his lawsuit. He should follow it up to the U.S. Supreeme Court. We the people should have complete info. on this character's complete history. Birth place, School papers, how he paid for his schooling, and his sexual preferenses.

Unless the FBI (Federal Bureau of Idiots) are a part of his socialist storm troopers! I think someone should be able to find out something through the Freedom of Information Act. Its Time For The Spineless

conservatives to finally show a little backbone. The goal? Well, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and every other major media outlet has remained totally silent on this entire subject of the qualification of ObamaFraud under the Constitution. They have habitually shown total disregard for legitimate concerns of all conservatives, and have shown an extreme bias for at least 50 years now.

So, some 50 million American are going to vote for John McCain tomorrow, if he is really lucky. And, how many of them can we get to agree to participate in a strategic boycott of the four major media outlets, and all of the companies that advertise with them.

The best thing to do is to single out a couple of the most vulnerable corporations who advertise with them, and target them for balance sheet and income statement meltdown! Just long enough to demonstrate the power of the conservative movement in the country. Say, 50 million people boycott McDonalds for its advertising on the major networks for three months. After that, should McDonalds not comply and continue to spend its advertising dollars with the guilty parties, the boycott will continue.

How many boycotts like that is it going to take when the headlines read, "McDonalds bleeding financial red catastrophe for its advertisements on ABC, NBC, CBS & CNN!". "Is it true that conservatives have the power to destroy large public corporations that advertise with the major media outlets!?".

How long can the major media outlets suffer this sort of thing? I say, not more than 6 months of 50 million conservatives participate diligently.

Well?

If conservatives are not willing to take this war to a new level, and adopt new and untried tactics and strategic approaches, then they deserve what Obama and the Demoncrats are going to give them. And they have nobody to blame for it but themselves.

I'm about to invent a new label. Maybe it should be called "Smart Super-Conservative" to distinguish this class of resourceful and willing conservative from the lazy and apathetic Sheeple conservatives that so overwhelmingly populate the political spectrum in this country.

I really am to the point where I don't want to associate with conservatives any longer.

I think any logical person can understand that a person with a background like Obama's could cause concern among some people.

By "background" I mean: Attending a muslim school in his younger years (It has been reported that "only" children of the muslim faith could attend). Not that being a muslim is wrong, it's that denying that he has ever been one could cause the concern I mention above.

I know that his campaign posted a copy of his BC on their web site, however, with many concerns of it's validity
being brought up, why would anyone not want to clear up this potential problem.

After all he is running for the Presidency of the United States of America. I'm surprised that he or anyone not be required to show an official BC before being able to run for that position.

I don't know if it is a requirement for any other elected office, but it is for the Presidency.

Obama is as American as apple pie!

Suppose he had been brought up, as you claim, by a Marxist Communist. What's the implication here? Is that Maxist/Communist parents are better at instilling a set of values than, say, Christians? I know for a fact that not all children brought up by Christians remain Christian in their adult lives.

Did you know that certainty is a psychological state? That is, from being certain we can always move to "well I thought I knew." Exactly what evidence is your certainty based upon.

The evidence of Obama's birth in Kenya is conclusive as is his upbringing by a Marxist Communist and the near-certainty he will make direct attempts to overthrow our constitution...but then that's what he will undoubtedly achieve if he's elected. He'll claim his popular election means the Constitution is overruled and therefore the whole document is null and void.

This is very strange to me too. I personally think that our so-called officials are very scared of proving anything about him. It's like a bunch of weenies out there, I guess. I guess the normal U.S. people don't have standing, but then others won't take any standing. Well, except a few like Wiley Drake. I know, something just isn't right. Maybe the gang of Obomaites have infiltrated every level.

I have contacted every authority I can think of including all the officials at the Federal Election Committee and my state senators - not any can assure me that Obama is a natural born citizen of the US! What is going on here? First our government wrecks the economy and now they don't even have a clue about a presidential candidate who may be defrauding America. If the FBI can be investigating Acorn in 14 states, you mean to tell me no federal agency is investigating Obama's qualifications amid all sorts of accusations? Am I living in a dream? Is there anyone in our gov't who isn't corrupt or incompetent? I have to say, our government officials scare the life out of me more than an Obama presidency. I am ashamed of what my country's government has become.
