Pray for Obama to fail
Posted by Hatman on Jan 28, 2009 17:47
First of all, I think that praying for a President and everyone who has accepted positions of authority on condition of Constitutional obedience is a good thing, if one wishes to live in peace, unmolested by any tools of the State.
Second, I don't think that one should pray AGAINST anyone; isn't that pretty-much the definition of black magic?(or "majick," if you're into that sort of thing.)
Third, one must understand that the American Republic began it's death-throes with Lincoln and his successors, IAW the following quote of John Adams: "There are two ways to destroy and enslave a nation; one is by the sword, the other is by debt." The Bankruptcy of the UNITED STATES, incorporated, was complete in 1932 and verified by FDR Mar 4, 1934, hence the "Democracy is great" propaganda that has been spewed from ten thousand "authoritative" sources, from teevee talkin' heads to brainwashed "teachers" in the Public Fool System who must hew to agendas picked for them by the Receivers in Due Course of the bankruptcy. Democracy was quite despised by the F&F, and the Constitution reflects the point, in that each and every one of the several states is guaranteed a REPUBLICAN form of government, and no other...a CONSTITUTIONAL Republic---and here's one reason why: "A constitution is not the act of a government, but of a people constituting a government, and government without a constitution is power without a right. All power exercised over a nation must have some beginning. It must either be delegated, or assumed. There are not other sources. All delegated power is trust; all assumed power is usurpation. Time does not alter the nature or quality of either." ~Thomas Paine.
God gives His children Rights, and governments are formed among men to SECURE these Rights, preserving and protecting them against tyrants and despots of all kinds---so the proper hierarchy is: God==>Man==>government, as God delegates certain powers and rights (conditional on his respect for the lives, liberties, and properties of his neighbors) to Man, reserving many for Himself, and Man delegates certain powers CONDITIONALLY to government, reserving others for his private use, as the 9th and 10th Amendments affirm. Most, nowadays, would have you believe that you only have rights because the gov't "allows" you the "privilege."
What exists in America now, and has for most of our lifetimes, is a Corporatocracy presiding over the bankruptcy, the debt-currency manipulations, and those who have been pledged as security for those debts---every man, woman, and child with a birth certificate, as well as all they think they "own."
So pray FOR the Republic, and that Obama will be able to find a way to defeat the powers of Mammon, if you will; but pray that he fail? When he's already overturning and restoring much that Bush worked hard to destroy, including the international reputation of America(esp. in re: barbarism in the form of torture)? Pray rather that he help many to obtain useful and well-paying work, and that he find ways to circumvent the Corporatocracy, whom are the TRUE root of the problem, especially the powers of Mammon being exercised by international banking interests.
I can't recall the name of it, but there's been a proposal awhile back that all monetary transactions over a certain amount---say, $500---be taxed with 1/2% of the total amount changing hands; this revenue from this ONE TAX can and would eliminate all others. Trillions change hands every day in stock and commodities markets, 90% or more of it sheer speculation to manipulate the policies/currencies of other countries, rather than any tangible product. What better way to restore strong, independent people than by a) letting them keep more of their earnings and b) punishing those who do their best to keep them DEpendent SLAVES? It would serve 'em right, too. IIRC, it was John D Rockefeller who worked a backdoor deal with railroads such that every OTHER oil company would be charged a surtax on their oil, while Standard Oil would not; Rockefeller used this advantage to be able to undercut his competition's prices and drive them out of business. What better way, then, to restore sovereign independence than to penalize the causes of its destruction?
So the bottom line for me is that Obama should most certainly be prayed FOR, not AGAINST, IAW the following quote:
"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
-- Theodore Roosevelt (Republican) in the Kansas City Star, May 7, 1918

Of course we should not pray for him to fail!! How stupid would that be!! God tells us in His word to pray for those in authority so that we can live in peace. We should pray for President Obama to have wisdom in making decisions because those decisions will affect us all.
Unnecessary

No body has to pray for Barry to fail that is one thing that he will be able to do own his own. Problem is that he will do a lot of damage to America. Most likely he will be president for longer than he had his law license before he was dis-barred.

Texas Engineer: I hear what you are saying. Its good to pray for any individuals. Its another thing to pray for the success of their evil plans. I think it the Godly thing to pray for that Satan fails. Yes, I mean Obama is like Satan. Reply to: Texas Engineer I am praying for the new President. I pray that his eyes will be opened to see that God is in charge and that he will become a believer in God. I am also praying that God will thwart every one of his plans that do not line up with God's Word.
yes - pray HARD for his failure
Posted by arlenearmy on Jan 25, 2009 23:46
The question was NOT asked if we should pray for: "Obama - the man". The question was: should we pray for "HIS FAILURES". Yes, I pray every day for Obama's failures. Some would say that if he fails, the country fails. Actually his failures are our success. Obama's success in Geither confirmation is a failure to America. Obama's success in closing Gitmo is a failure (disastrous) to America. Obama's success in murdering the unborn in foreign nations at US expense is an absolute American failure. Obama's success in quickly withdrawing US troops irresponsibly is failure to our military men & women. Obama's success in silencing Limbaugh & other conservative commentators is a failure of our democracy (freedom of press). You darn right ! I'll say it again. I PRAY TO GOD FOR: Obama's failure as President. Amen.
Pray for failure of bad policies, success of good

We should pray for Obama's conversion, for the failure of the evil policies, and for the success and protection of our country and for good policies.
If change for the good is impossible then pray that Obama, the machine that put him into office, and all his evil supporters to be revealed as they truly are.
I'm guessing we don't want anything to happen that would cause Biden, Pelosi, or Reid to hold the highest office, right?
