Let No FEMA Camp go to waste
Posted by leepster on Nov 16, 2009 19:51

It all sounds like some kind of B movie: Commie Usurper and Global Megalomaniac Hussein Mohammmed II, along with his international financiers and an army of brownshirts start the roundup, throwing the Republicans and other dissidents into the secret detention camps, pending reeducation or liquidation.

Once an iron-fisted control of all internet, electronic and print media is acquired, he moves ahead with his real plans, which include redistribution of property, generous reparations to all minorities, reverse discrimination hiring requirements, and a race-based quota system for distribution of health benefits...

Payback is comin' whitey! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!

(I can't wait for the movie. Especially where the computers start breaking and nobody can fix em.) Idiocracy, Part 2

Small Business Owners Unite!
Posted by Not Gonna Shut up on Nov 14, 2009 17:24

I'm a small business owner, and I would be willing to bet I'm not the only one who has just had enough of this government sticking it to me! Every time I turn around, there is some new "program" that, while I will get NO benefit from it, my tax dollars will undoubtedly pay for it. "obama bin lyin" and his cronies are now going to put me in jail if I don't buy THEIR health insurance! This government is ALREADY taking more of my money than is reasonable. I'm barely surviving as it is. I'm SO done! Since when can obama force American citizens to finance his Socialist regime with our hard-earned tax dollars? But what can I do? Small business owners need to unite and say NO MORE! If we all refuse to be taken advantage of by our own government, what are they gonna do about it? Put us ALL in jail? (I know, it's cliche'; sorry). When I started writing this, I just wanted to vent. But now I'm really wondering how many of us there are out there. Of the small business owners that I know personally, I don't know ANYONE who's not a little nervous. Where does it end? When the government has found a way to take ALL my money?

Fools Rush In

Why argue with the simpletons who endorse universal health care? History has proven that people do not change and you are now witnessing the same mentality that endorsed Stalin, Mussolini and Hitler. These people have learned nothing from history and deserve what they will get from the current administration if this totalitarian movement succeeds. They will be the spineless collaborators and we will be the resistance. I am with the earlier post. Live free or die!

I retired in 1990. The last company I worked for was a family owned business. They had teo factories and 140 outlets and sold their own products as well as related items made by other manufacturers. Part of the compensation was health care that included dental. It was simple. If you got sick or hurt they paid for it. In 1987 the IRS went to the owners and told them that if they didn't start charging their employees for the insurance at current market rates that they would start taxing the employees as if it were income. This was the beginning of socialized medicine in the U.S.
The IRS and the court systems are nothing but collection arms of the federal reserve to take what ever they can from the people that work to support the dead wood that don't.

I have health insurance through my employer. What if the obamabots pelosi and reid decide that it doesn't meet their qualifying standards and I have to buy something else? What if they decide that it's so good they will have to tax me on it to make it fair to everyone else?

These communists in Washington have to be stopped - NOW. I will be fighting alongside su368098 with my brass and lead chips against the tyrants. This fight isn't about healthcare. This fight is about some wannabe dictators having control over every aspect of our lives. This fight is about liberty and personal freedom. They will not be taking it away from me, and I know that millions of others feel the same way. Live free or die.

My employees are strongly for a level playing field with all Americans having health insurance thereby spreading risk - that is what insurance is all about. It eliminates free rides in the hospital emergency rooms. It gets preventative care to those that it can benefit most.

No, I am a devout Jew and the schools I help build are for teaching trades to the equivalent of high schoolers in Israel.
Any more anger to incorrectly vent sir?

Oh A "Rich Liberal" donating your money or someone else's? If you have a company, why would you agree to Socilaized healthcare as it will obviously be a detrement to your business. And how is liens / garnishments "Constitutional"? Boy that piece of paper written many years ago sure seems to get in the way doesn't it. And the liens can be up to 2.5% of your annual gross, no chump change in some cases. If all you liberals are so much for this, especially the rich elite, why not all of you have a "Socialist Experiment" and pool all of your assests, this is to include any monies saved and all that you may earn (all libs nationwide now) take that figure and divide it by the total number of libs here in the US, take that shave 20 to 25% and set up your own little healthcare utopia. Of course, you would have no more "Elite" libs, ya'll would all be on equal footing, from Soros, M. Moore, Ted Turner, to the crack head on the corner looking for a handout, have the same annual income. Wouldn't that be wonderful! Of course I am forgetting that most libs are only generous with other peoples money.
The schools in Israel wouldn't happen to be Islamic would they?

Take this violation of unreasonable search and seizure, and the right to be secure in your person and property, all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary

The best chance we have right now is to delay or thwart this legislation by focuisng on the Senate. If the Dems stick together, they have enough votes to twart any GOP filibuster. So it seems incumbent upon us to lean on our Democrat Senators to refuse to pass this legislation, or to not block a GOP filibuster, or to severely amend it and at the very least drop the provisions for mandatory compliance and fines. Pray for delays, and pray for a reversal in 2010 or 2012.

Doubt it, RWR sir. My company's capitalization is up in the 8 figure range. I probably donate more to build schools in Israel than you make in 5 years.
So far I am right about the plans for this administration's initiatives in health insurance - and all you detractors are wrong.
Nobody will go to jail for not having mandated plans - they will have to pay out of pocket or get liens and/or garnishments.

I've made no secret about my position.

I will not "purchase" health insurance, I will not pay the massive fine, and I will not go to prison. This far and no farther. Let the chips fall where they may. Someone needs to stand up, might as well be me.

Wazzup Dorky?
Ya dream you were the moderator, in your MaidenForm bra??? Parroting the poll question (like you do the daily PC-speak from the Huff-nPuff Post or The Daily Kuss) is not "sounding off".
I think our beloved (real) moderator was looking for something more along the lines of; "This is an OUTRAGE! Where does Congress get the authority to force something like this on the American People? What 'enumerated power' do they think they're exercising? It couldn't be under the (mythical) 'general welfare clause'! Both Madison and Jefferson specifically said that 'general welfare' is STILL constrained under the 10th Amendment! It's not carte blanche to pass any law they want!"
You REALLY ought to tread lightly Dorky, Mikaia only has just so much patience with reprobates. You regularly tread over the well-defined line. Were I the admin here, (as I've been on other sites) you'd have been permanantly bounced MONTHS ago. I guess I'm not as forgiving.
God Bless, Ducky! [☺]
